
Governor Cuomo Orders Schools, Businesses to Remain Closed

On Monday (April 7), Governor Cuomo announced that NY Pause will remain in effect until April 29, according to WGRZ. This means that schools and non-essential businesses will stay closed through the month.

Governor Cuomo ordered that the fines for violating the social distancing order be raised to $1,000.
"Today I am increasing the maximum fine for violations of state-mandated social distancing rules from $500 to $1000. This is an enemy we have underestimated since day one. This is not the time to be lax. We need to #StayHome and stay properly distanced." ~ New York State Governor Andrew Cuomo
