Who doesn't love mac and cheese?! The decadent side dish is going to make its move to being the main dish. The Buffalo Mac and Cheese Festival is coming on Saturday, August 14, 2021. The event will be held from 11:30 am to 9:00 pm. It will take place at Buffalo Riverworks, located at 359 Ganson Street in Buffalo. The festival will feature food trucks, food vendors and chefs, all serving up mac and cheese. Get ready for a variety, possibly even some crazy mac and cheese combos. Over 30 different mac and cheese dishes will be featured. Attendees will help choose “Best Mac and Cheese in Buffalo' and the creator of the winning dish will be awarded a $500 prize.

There will also be craft beers, wines, and ciders available to sample. The Buffalo Mac and Cheese Festival will also feature live music and entertainment. Tickets cost between $20 and $55 per person. Kids ages 12 and under get in free. VIP tickets offer early access (60 minutes), private bathrooms and other benefits.

Wingfest is Back in Buffalo for 2021

The next big food festival to hit Buffalo after the Buffalo Mac and Cheese Festival will be the 20th Annual National Buffalo Wing Festival. It will take place in Western New York from September 4 to September 5, 2021.

The festival will take place at Highmark Stadium, located at 1 Bills Drive in Orchard Park. Here's what you need to know about attending the festival this year:

Due to the limited supply of chicken wings and post-covid sensitivity, the festival will be at half capacity. Only 25,000 tickets will be available for sale. There will be five (5) three-hour sessions. Capacity will be 5,000 people per session. ~National Buffalo Wing Festival

- There will be no tickets sold at the gate, they will be available for pre-sale only
- Tickets cost $20, which includes free parking, a donation to FeedMore WNY and a $5 voucher
- Chicken wing food tickets will need to be purchased on-site and are cash only
- Non-chicken wing food tickets can be purchased at each individual booth and are cash only
- Beverages, including beer, will have to be purchased using a debit or credit card (tickets cannot be used)
