Gates Circle Crash Leads to DWI Arrest

The roundabout at Gates Circle was the scene of yet another accident early Tuesday morning.

According to Buffalo Police, 37-year-old Julieanne Carr crashed right through the Gates Circle fountain, and also damaged a fence, warning lights and stairs to the fountain around 2:30A.M.

Police administered a field sobriety test where Carr blew a .23 percent BAC - almost three times over the legal limit.

Julieanne Carr was taken into custody and charged with aggravated driving while intoxicated. She also caused an estimated $15,000 in damages to the fountain.
