You may have stumbled upon one of several urban farms while driving or walking about in the city and you may have wondered how it came about, what it offers or how you can be apart of it. Finally all of your questions will be answered if you choose to take advantage an opportunity to explore these pockets of jewels in the Queen City on Urban Farm Day.

Presented by Garden Buffalo Niagara, Urban Farm Day will offer the opportunity to explore 16 urban farms through self-guided tours as well as the opportunity to participate in eight scheduled talks with the farmers. The tours will include activities such as pizza making with the farm's fresh ingredients and a u-pick worm farm.

Have you ever wanted learning about raising chickens or harvesting honey? Well you're in luck as the scheduled talks will include such information among other interesting topics. Urban Farm Day will be held on Saturday, August 28, 10am-3pm and the 16 participating farms are as follows;
