The outbreak of COVID-19 has had a tremendous impact on the individuals and communities, in particular, the City of Buffalo.

The Independent Health Foundation serves the City of Buffalo and is teaming up with Pegula Sports & Entertainment to support families in the City of Buffalo. 10,000 wellness bags will be given out at 28 different Buffalo Public School locations TODAY (Wednesday, May 13) from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. during regular lunch pick-up.

The free wellness bags contain several essential items, including hand sanitizer, protective masks, soap, toothbrushes and toothpaste, and other personal items, plus an inflatable soccer beach ball, a jump rope, and sidewalk chalk for kids.

It's also important to know that The Independent Health Foundation secured and purchased many items for the wellness bags from local businesses to support the local economy, and several area businesses and organizations donated funds or products to make this giveaway possible.
