Flavor Flav is the father of a 2-month-old baby boy, a DNA test has proved.

The Public Enemy artist has been the target of a paternity allegation since earlier this month, which was levied by a woman named Kate Gammell. Flav reportedly initially denied the reports. However, according to documents obtained by The Blast, a paternity test has proved the 60-year-old rapper/reality show star is the father. The celebrity news site reports Gammell previously worked for Flav in a managerial capacity. Now that she has established paternity, she will reportedly seek to obtain child support from Flav. Flav, who is a grandfather, has seven other children from previous relationships.

Though Flav has not been active on the music scene in a while, he has stayed very much in the public eye. He starred on the wildly popular reality show Flavor of Love, which aired from 2006 to 2008. He also appeared on the show Celebrity Wife Swap.

More recently, he has made the news for running into some legal issues. Last March, it was reported he owed $3 million in back taxes after he was accused of failing to pay taxes for 10 years from 2005 to 2015. Two months prior, he was attacked by a man in a Las Vegas casino.

In 2017, he sued former rhyme partner Chuck D for royalty payments, claiming that he hadn't been given a royalty check from Public Enemy's music or business ventures in years. Flav last put out an album in 2006. The LP, titled Flavor Flav, featured Smooth B of Nice and Smooth.
