Flavor Flav has to figure out a way to come up with some money, quickly. The hip-hop vet owes $3.1 million back taxes, according to a report from Bossip..

Flav has been hit with a federal lien, and is accused of failing to pay taxes for more 10 years from 2005 to 2015. The lien shows that nearly half of Flav's debt—$1.4 million—came in 2007 when he was filming the second season of Flavor of Love for VH1.

But this isn't Flav's first run-in with the IRS. Back in 2012, he had a lien for $1 million due to tax debt, thought it's unclear whether or not that debt was resolved.

Money issues aren't anything new for Flav. In November, he started a Kickstarter to raise $125,000 for a variety show in Las Vegas.

"We really want to move quickly without waiting for all the approvals and censors that come with traditional shows, and offer music at the same time because you can't have TV without music," he said about his campaign.

He also said he wanted to use Kickstarter as a way to collaborate with fans.

"It's not often we get direct fan input while we are creating," he stated. "Since my show is for the people, I have to make sure I have the people involved and by doing a Kickstarter everyone can be part of the journey by supporting my Kickstarter."
