Firework Festival In WNY This Weekend

The calendar says the last week of June, which means we're officially in the summertime here in Western New York.

It's great to see so many events, fairs, and festivals returning to the region over the next couple of months. Fireworks will be prominent over the next 10-14 days and there's a festival happening this weekend in Western New York you May not be aware of.

The Fireworks Over Fricano's will be taking place in North Collins this Saturday. It's at Fricano's Town Park and will not only feature a fireworks show, but it will also have live music starting at 6:30, and food from local vendors.

Some of the food you will find is fried dough, pizza, strawberry shortcake from RJ's Cafe, and ice cream from Main Street Ice Cream in Hamburg.

People attending are encouraged to bring lawn chairs, blankets, and radios. It would also be great to bring a frisbee, volleyball, or football to play with while the afternoon is going on.

These are the kind of events I loved the most as a kid. It has all the elements you could ask for; music, food, and fireworks; plus enjoying time with family and friends.

You may also notice in that Facebook post from Main Street Ice Cream that there will also be an event taking place on Sunday at Evangola State Park in Irving, called Festival at the Beach. It's a classic car show!
