Fans Accuse Nicki Minaj of Copying Lil’ Kim for Vogue Japan Cover
On Wednesday (Dec. 19), Nicki Minaj was revealed as being on the cover of Vogue Japan's February 2019 issue.
The cover features The “Barbie Dreams" rapper wearing a white top, neon yellow nails, a tan buttoned dress and a red-colored Burberry trench coat. After the rap veteran posted the image, fans of Lil’ Kim started pointing out similarities to the Queen Bee.
Some people believed that Nicki copied Kim’s entire fashion style all the way to her small mole on her left upper lip. Even Kim’s stylist Tim B called out Nicki for allegedly copying "Nasty One" MC's look.
“If you never seen the movie single black female you need to go & watch it… because this is what the situation is!” he wrote. “At this point I’m scared for my friend @lilkimthequeenbee. Shorty out here rocking a mole & all. shorty stole her style, management team and now her mole.”
Subsequently, more fans chimed in on the Nicki's Vogue Japan cover. Some said the 36-year-old rapper is obsessed with Kim while others believed that Nicki actually resembles Cardi B’s younger sister Hennessy. As you may know, Nicki and the "Bodak Yellow" rapper was engaged in a heated social media beef earlier this year.
"Nicki Minaj want to be Lil Kim so bad. She even put a fake mole on her face to resemble Lil Kim," tweeted one fan. Another user wrote, "Lord Nicki Minaj can wear a simple ass ponytail and bfs gone swear she copied Lil Kim. Like damn."
