The Erie County Department of Health has partnered with three Buffalo restaurants to host “Doses & Mimosas” events this weekend. The vaccination events will take place on Sunday, June 13, 2021, at Savoy Buffalo, Mr. Goodbar and 40 Thieves. Between 11 am and 3 pm, the Department will administer single-dose Johnson & Johnson COVID-19 vaccines to people 18 or older. After the 15-minute monitoring period has passed, you'll get a mimosa (or non-alcoholic mimosa if you're under 21-years-old), in a complimentary glass.

According to a press release I received, Dr. Gale Burstein, the Commissioner of the Erie County Department of Health, said,

“Our Shot and Chaser events received national and international recognition in May, with breweries signing on to help us in our vaccination outreach in innovative ways. With each event, we are adding to the numbers of people in our community who are protected against COVID-19. Now, with Doses and Mimosas, we have another creative way to reach Erie County residents, and capitalize on the foot traffic and visitors to this section of Elmwood Avenue in Buffalo.”

You can make an appointment to receive your vaccine during the “Doses & Mimosas” events by calling (716) 858-2929 or visiting www.erie.gov/vax. While appointments are recommended, walk-ins are welcome.
