City pools opening a day early because of heat wave
With temperatures expected to reach into the 90s this weekend, city of Buffalo outdoor pools will open for the season on Saturday – a day earlier than the planned July 1 opening, according to city officials.
All nine of the city's outdoor pools will be open from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.
The City of Buffalo announced Wednesday that all splash pads will open at 2 pm to help families offset the extreme heat. They will remain open until 7 p.m.
Some of the splash pads had previously opened for the holiday weekend.
