Charges Dropped Against Chris Brown In Vegas Basketball Fight

Chris Brown is free to enjoy the rest of his birthday in Las Vegas now that the charges against him have been dropped! Details inside.

Yesterday, we got word that Chris Brownwas being charged with misdemeanor battery after allegedly punching someone during a basketball game over the weekend, but today, charges have been dropped.

What a wonderful birthday present for the 26 yr old R&B singer who is still on probation. According to his PR lady:

"Chris is currently in Las Vegas as he is performing at Drai's on May 5th and receiving a Key to the Strip that day as well," Perna said in a statement. "He has a suite at the hotel that has a basketball court and invited friends to come play. An unruly individual showed up uninvited and was removed from the premises. Chris was not in an altercation with this person."

Although the part about Chris receiving the Key to the Strip turned out not to be true, the rest of the story apparently is.

24 hours after pressing charging, the accuser called the police to say he wanted all charges dropped. And so it is.
