Are you tired of wearing a mask? Sick of the mandates and having to remember to have your mask with you at the grocery store and any number of other businesses? Those days could be dwindling if you are fully vaccinated, which means, at least 2 weeks following your full dose of the vaccine.

Today, the Centers for Disease Control released new guidelines for the fully vaccinated population and a lot of it allows for mask-less get-togethers. Here are some examples from CNN:

Fully Vaccinated Individuals Can:

  • Mask free at small outdoor gatherings.
  • Mask free while eating outdoors with friends from multiple homes.
  • Basically anything outside, in a small group, is ok to be without a mask.

This doesn't appear to be much different that what we knew last week. As a matter of fact the CDC warns that, vaccinated or not, you still need to avoid large indoor gatherings. If you do choose to attend a concert, party or even go to the store, wearing a mask is recommended and this won't change until the vast majority of the population is fully vaccinated.

The bottom line is clear, if you're vaccinated, you can do more things, more safely, both outdoors as well as indoors. So for those who haven't gotten their vaccination yet, especially if you're younger, or thinking you don't need it, this is another great reason to go get vaccinated. Now. - President Biden
Yahoo Finance suggests that this is a big deal as one year into this pandemic, not only do we have a vaccine, but we are able to begin easing the mandates regarding masks. Over 230 million vaccinations have been given but a strong 8% have failed to return for their follow-up doses. Meanwhile, The CDC reports that 37% of the population over 18 have been fully vaccinated.
