A new legal doc in a case stemming from 2017 has revealed some information about Cardi B's life post-pregnancy.

The Bronx spitter is reportedly suffering from "unanticipated post-partum complications" after delivering her and Offset's daughter, Kulture, according to TMZ. The news came out after her legal team filed for an extension in her case against Kevin Brophy, a man who claims a photo of him was used on her Gangsta Bitch Music Vol. 1 mixtape cover without permission. Brophy is currently suing Cardi and her managers for $5 million.

Cardi's legal team stated that her unfortunate condition has left unable to sit for a deposition or tour until further notice, and they're hoping U.S. District Court Judge Cormac J. Carney will allow them to wait until October. In July, Carney allowed both parties more time to present their closing arguments, extending the case to August.

Shortly before delivering her baby girl, the platinum-selling artist announced she had to back out of Bruno Mars' 24K Magic World Tour. "I won't be joining Bruno on tour this Fall," she wrote in an Instagram post dated July 26. "I thought that after giving birth to my daughter that 6 weeks would be enough time for me to recover mentally and physically," adding that she "underestimated this whole mommy thing."

"Not only am I just not ready physically, I'm not ready to leave my baby behind since the doctors explained it's not healthy for her to be on the road," she continued.

Kulture Kiari Cephus was born on July 10. Bardi is also in some legal hot water after two bartenders claim she gave her crew orders to beat them up over rumors that one allegedly slept with Offset. Jade and Baddie Gi of New York City's Angels Strip Club were reportedly hit with bottles and chairs during the incident.
