Cardi B Fires Back After Being Accused of Calling Black Women ‘Roaches’
As a rising star in music, it was only a matter of time before Cardi B’s old tweets were dug up, and after a tweet by Twitter user @WokeMutant accused the rapper of having called “dark-skinned black women” roaches, Cardi B was forced to respond.
After the user posted multiple tweets of her calling black women a “roach,” Cardi fired back, saying roach is a term used in the Bronx. The "Bodak Yellow" rapper also posted a video where she called herself a roach.
“I called MY OWN self a reach (sic) before so stop it! It's a word I use alot Bronx bitches use a lot stop trying to make it into some racist s---,” she tweeted.
Cardi continued to defend herself in her tweets, writing, “Motherf---ers been trying to f-- my s--- up all day,The devil really working but yaa and the devil ARE invited to this DICK.”
The rapper also had to defend herself when users brought up the fact that she had used the slur “tranny” -- something she has apologized in the past for.
