Buffalo Residents Could See More Job Opportunities At The Airport

The travel industry has been down compared to the number of people that were traveling before the pandemic
Security screening officers are going to be needed for approximately 430 airports nationwide, which means there could be an opportunity for residents here in our community that may be looking for a new job.
TSOs are a critical first line of defence in securing our nation's commercial air transportation system. Each day, our officers screen hundreds of thousands of airline travelers ensuring they arrive at their destination safely. We expect to screen a higher number of travelers regulary by the summer months and we will need additional officers to support our critical mission.

There is a video, "A Day In A Life of A TSO" if you are interested in seeing what this job is all about.
In my experience with dealing with anyone in the airline industry, they all seem to be pretty pleased with the career path they chose.
