Closed on Friday, November 18, 2022 The district released a statement on Facebook about closing schools and after-school activities,

Due to a forecasted severe weather event for Thursday Evening Buffalo Public Schools will be closed on Friday, November 18, 2022. All students and staff are to remain home. There will be no remote instruction. School will be in session tomorrow, Thursday, November 17. Students should bring their devices home Thursday night, in case of an extended closure. There will be no afterschool activities Thursday, November 17, 2022. Adult Education and Parent Centers' activities are also canceled on Thursday. There will also be no Community Schools Saturday Academy Activities on Saturday, November 19, 2022. The scheduled admissions testing and auditions on Saturday will be canceled and rescheduled.

Gov. Warns: Hazardous Conditions Due Snow Storm In New York State

New York has declared a State of Emergency ahead of the potentially historic snowstorm rolling into many parts of the state.

Governor Kathy Hochul has declared a state of emergency and issued warnings to many New Yorkers around the state. This winter storm has the potential to be deadly and brutal,

Parts of Western New York, the Finger Lakes, Central New York and the North Country are about to get their first snowstorm of the season, which means we need everyone in these impacted regions to be ready for dangerous travel conditions. My team and I are deploying emergency response assets ahead of the storm, remain in constant contact with local officials, and are laser focused on the forecast. New Yorkers should remain vigilant ahead of the storm and avoid any unnecessary travel during these hazardous conditions.
