According to WGRZ, when Amazon opened its new Tonawanda delivery station, one veteran here in Western New York decided to lunch a new company to get in on the action, and it turns out to be a great idea for the entire family. The company is Castletop logistics, a delivery service that employs about 100 people.

Shawn Ikpa worked for corporate Amazon in the past, he then decided that we wanted to start a family business and relocated his dad and brother here to Buffalo from Atlanta. Shawn's brother helps with managing dispatch, while his father takes care of the recruiting and training. Castletop Logistics is a third-party service for Amazon, and during the busy season like now, they will spend 10 hours a day delivering.

According to WGRZ, Shawn Ikpa said, there are some things you can do to help ensure your delivery.

Leaving a light on when you're expecting a delivery. It helps our drivers identify the house number, and ensuring that the drivers are delivering to the correct house. Another thing you can do is make sure that walkways and driveways are cleared for the drivers.

Shawn's dad said it's been great to be able to bond with his son as an adult as they work together.
