The Buffalo Bisons have released their 2021 schedule.  The team will play 142 games, with Opening Day kicking off the season on April 6.  This season marks the 136th season the Bisons have been playing baseball in Buffalo. According to the team's website, it will be playing against Triple-A East Northeast Division teams. You can download the schedule here.

Unfortunately, due to COVID-19, there will be no tickets or season tickets sold at this time. Sahlen Field and the box office are currently closed to fans in order to help keep everyone safe.

Anthony Sprague, General Manager of the Buffalo Bisons hope that the team can soon welcome fans back into the stadium to watch the games live,

“Being able to circle ‘Opening Day’ at Sahlen Field on April 6 definitely feels great, but we’re ultimately looking forward to the day when we can also tell our amazing fans that we can once again gather together at the ballpark to enjoy Bisons baseball. The health and safety of our fans is and will always be our top priority as we continue to evaluate all options for hosting fans at the ballpark in 2021.”

Hopefully, we can get this vaccine distribution in order and get folks people vaccinated so that we can start enjoying things like live Bisons games again.  It's going on a year since the pandemic changed virtually every aspect of our lives.  Governor Cuomo has made an announcement about the guidelines for large venues being able to reopen, but I understand people aren't comfortable yet.  Once we have herd immunity from the vaccines, I think everyone will feel better about going out into crowded (or semi-crowded) places again.
