The Buffalo Bills and Buffalo Sabres are planning to celebrate 716 Day by helping non-profits in Western New York. Give 716 will be a day of giving across WNY to support charities here. Give 716 will start at 7:16 pm on Thursday, July 15, and run through 11:59 pm on Friday, July 16, 2021, aka 716 Day. People will be able to visit Give716.org to make a donation.

In a press release I received, Kim Pegula of Pegula Sports & Entertainment said,

“716 Day has become a day where we celebrate everything that makes our community great. This year, the Bills and Sabres are joining together to support many of the charities that help make Western New York what it is. The need has never been greater, and our teams are dedicated to helping our community recover from the effects of the pandemic. We invite all Western New York charities to register to be involved and encourage Bills and Sabres fans to lend their support to these organizations vital to our community.”

 

The goal of Give 716 is to raise at least a million dollars. Non-profits can be a part of it if they meet the following requirements:

- Any qualified 501c3 organization that is in good standing with the IRS
- Located or providing services in the eight counties of Western New York (Allegany, Cattaraugus, Chautauqua, Erie, Genesee, Niagara, Orleans, and Wyoming counties)

Qualifying charities need to sign up between now and July 2 at Give716.org. It doesn't There is no cost to register.
