Brandy is back with a sultry song, "Beggin & Pleadin." After the premiere of her BET scripted series, Zoe Ever After, the R&B songbird dropped the Pop & Oak-produced song on SoundCloud. And according to the song's bio, it's "based on a true story!"

In "Beggin & Pleadin," Brandy takes on a different style than her teeny-bopper days and subsequent grown and sexy feels. Instead, it's a bluesy tune with a hint of trap music.

"Damn boy, why you make it so hard? / Stop puttin' your foot on my heart / Know I cussed and I screamed, even took your keys / Got so bad, yeah I stopped wearin' my ring," she sings over the sounds of a plucking electric guitar. “Told you walk out that door and you can keep your last name / Now I’m down on my knees, it’s a shame,” she continues.

It's been three years since Brandy released any new material. The 36-year-old can be heard on Ty Dolla Sign's orchestral anthem "L.A.," which also features Kendrick Lamar.

"So happy to finally share some new music with you all!" tweeted Brandy. And her fans are happy to hear it. The song is already getting high praise from tweeters -- including Missy Elliott. “yassssss brandy u betta give us them revival church runs! Your vocals is top notch! Congrats!” she tweeted.

Another fan tweeted: "Brandy dropped "Beggin & Pleadin". Fantasia about to drop "No Time For It". January, you have been good so far."
