Everyone knows the life of a rapper is just as demanding and strenuous as it is luxurious. Life on the road is a fast-paced environment and if artists aren't careful, it can take a toll on their health. Louisiana-bred MC Boosie Badazz, who has been steadily grinding ever since he was released from prison last year, recently became ill while on the road in North Carolina.

Boosie was hospitalized on Friday (Feb. 28) for dehydration, after he reportedly began “feeling frail and weak,” while traveling to Charlotte for CIAA weekend. The Touchdown 2 Cause Hell rapper told TMZ that the doctors informed him he was “extremely dehydrated” and administered fluids immediately.

Due to his condition, Boosie’s show was canceled, however, he was released on Saturday morning and apparently was cleared to perform at the Swainsboro Fairgrounds in Georgia that same night.

Good thing he was proactive and went to the hospital instead of attempting to hit the stage. It seems as though dehydration is frequent among artists because Boosie isn’t the first music star to be hit with dehydration. Last year, singer August Alsina was hospitalized after he began having seizures as a result of exhaustion and dehydration.
