Fatherhood and Mens Conference Coming To Buffalo, New York
One key factor contributing to strong and vibrant communities is the family. An intact family structure is often the underpinning of success in the lives of individuals worldwide. Unfortunately, over the last few decades, we've seen families fall apart far and wide, and as time passes, we see even more clearly the results a broken home can cause.
To help combat that, a local group in Western New York is sponsoring a conference to strengthen men, fathers, and boys, with the ultimate goal of helping to create better-equipped families in Buffalo, New York State, and America.
The 6th Annual Fatherhood and Boys & Men of Color Conference, which the Buffalo Prenatal Perinatal Network presents, is happening on Friday, October 11, 2004, and Saturday, October 12, 2024, and the organizers are looking to decrease the amounts of father absenteeism that we see in a lot of our communities.

The conference, which will be held over two days at the M Hotel Buffalo on Walden Avenue in Cheektowaga, will focus on the Power of Mentorship.
The 6th Annual Fatherhood and BMoC (Boys and young men of Color) Conference serves as a vital platform for addressing the unique challenges and opportunities faced by fathers and boys of Color in today's society. By supporting this conference, sponsors can make a meaningful difference in the lives of fathers, boys, and young men of Color across WNY and contribute to a more just and equitable society.

According to data from the US Census Bureau, just about 1 in 4 children live without a biological, step, or adoptive father in the home. To drill down further, the National Fatherhood Initiative says that the nearly 17.8 million American children without a father at home are double the population of New York City and four times the population of Los Angeles.
