It looks like Bill Cosby won’t have to return to court for another sexual assault trail until next year.

Cosby’s retrial was originally scheduled for November, but now he has been given a new date.

According to Billboard, on Friday a judge ordered for Cosby’s retrial to begin on April 2nd, opposed to its original date. The judge also said that jury selection could be underway before the scheduled date.

The judge’s decision came after he granted a request from Cosby’s new lawyer to push back the date to get up to speed.

Last month it was announced that Cosby’s lawyers Brian McMonagle and Angela C. Agrusa, withdrew from the case ahead of its November start date. Shortly after Tom Mesereau stepped in as his new attorney.

The 80-year-old comedian’s first trial ended in a hung jury back in June.

He is being accused of drugging and sexually assaulting women.
