With New Edition, BBD was part of the hit songs Candy Girl, Cool It Now, and Mr. Telephone Man, and while New Edition went on a musical break in the late 80s, the group decided they weren't done with R&B music and later created BBD.

Super producers Jimmy Jam, Terry Lewis, Hank and Keith Shocklee, Dr. Freeze, Hiriam Hicks, and others helped Bell Biv DeVoe put togehter Poison, thier first record as a trio. BBD and their 4x Platinum-Certified record album Poison, remains a hit record and gets a fair amount of the credit for reinvigorating R&B/Hip Hop/Soul music in the New Jack Swing subgenre.

The singles Poison, Do Me!, and B.B.D. (I Thought It Was Me)? helped to shape a generation of new R&B artists who began to release New Jack Swing music after the subgenre was created.

BBD will be bringing their New Jack Swing vibe to the area when they perform live in Niagara Falls on Friday, September 30, 2022, at the Seneca Niagara Events Center.

Tickets are on sale now and prices start at $45. The show is set to begin at 8p, with doors opening at 7p.
