20-Year-Old Man Pleads Guilty To Murder In Deadly Stabbing In Buffalo
Erie County District Attorney John J. Flynn announced that a 20-year-old man pleaded guilty to a fatal stabbing in Buffalo. The man entered his plea on the morning of Tuesday, February 22, 2022, before Erie County Court Judge James Bargnesi. Mikel Ayala of Buffalo pleaded guilty to one count of Murder in the Second Degree. He got into an argument with Tomas Sanchez on Saturday, May 15, 2021, at about a quarter to 10 am. The fatal incident happened at a home located on the 200 block of Ashley Street in Buffalo. The 35-year-old victim was stabbed multiple times. He was taken to Erie County Medical Center where he died from his wounds. Ayala is facing up to 25 years to life in prison. He will be sentenced on Tuesday, April 5, 2022, at 9:30 am. He is being held without bail.
