Get out of the cold and into the culture. According to Channel 2 On Your Side that after two months of downtime the Burchfield Penney Art Center at SUNY Buffalo State College will be back open to the public today (Thursday, February 11). And seeing how frigid it has been recently, there is nothing better than to step out of the cold into the warming glow of creativity and inspiration that is the Burchfield Penney Art Center, The Center will be hosting up to 225 people at a time (25% capacity).

SHELTER is currently on exhibit and it was created by Buffalo native Lisa Karrer. It is a multi-arts project that incorporates audio soundtracks and green screen video projections and it highlights and heightens the awareness of the importance of Buffalo which serves as a critical sanctuary for refugees.

 


 

So get out and get your art on. There are few things better for mental health than a visit to an art gallery or museum. It is an adventure because you never know what will grab your intention or inspire you. You may amaze yourself as you discover something that you never knew existed in the world or within yourself.
