93.7 WBLK 5th Annual Christmas for kids Event!

It’s a time for giving back! A heartfelt love filled promotion designed to fulfill the wishes of adoptable and foster care children. Each year 93.7 WBLK teams up with our promotional partner, the Child & Family Services of Buffalo NY, who supplied the first names and Christmas toy wishes of up to 15 local children who may not receive anything on Dec 25th. WBLK asked it’s listeners to donate a gift, (or complete the child's wish), using the list provided by Child & Family Services.

On Sat Dec 17th WBLK produced a special “Christmas for Kids” party at the Child & Family Services building in Buffalo NY. WBLK provided Santa helpers, music and refreshments and the listeners who donated gifts were invited to join WBLK live at the party to view the presentation of gifts to each child. The kids range from 20 months to 12 years old and all have been a ward of the state or neglected in some way. The mission is to bring awareness to the growing plight of children who need a permanent home through adoption and or foster care.

On Dec 17th at least for a few hours, a child’s sadness was replaced with the tears of joy with the 93.7 WBLK Christmas for Kids outreach program.
