50 Cent is afraid for his life and he wants the whole world to know about it. On Tuesday (Feb. 19) the G-Unit leader went on a social media blitz and revealed that he’s in fear of his safety after reports surfaced of a New York Police Department's investigation into a commander who reportedly threatened the rapper by telling members of his force to shoot the rapper on sight.

For an Instagram post, 50 posted a photo of a New York Daily News article about the commander’s threat on his Instagram account with the caption, “I’m afraid for my life, I haven’t been able to sleep since I heard of this. The cops never notified me of the threat. I’m closing all my business in New York. I may have to sue the city.”

What 50 is referring to is the NYDN’s story about Deputy Inspector Emanuel Gonzalez, who, during a roll call, reportedly told fellow officers to “shoot him on sight,” referring to the Queens rap star. An insider for the publication recalled the incident and said, “The inspector just said that at roll call. I’m like WTF.”

In six other posts, the Power creator showcases photographs of the deputy inspector and tags him Emmanuel “Gun all the time” Gonzalez. “Hey kids, see someone you don’t like. Well go a head shoot them on sight. #Emanuel Gun all the time Gonzalez,” reads one post.

According to NYDN, Gonzalez’s said his “order” about 50 Cent was only a joke. According to an NYPD spokesman, the incident is under an internal review.
