Unfortunately, there are hundreds of registered sex offenders in Erie County. Offenders are categorized as Level 1, 2 or 3.

Level 3 offenders and those offenders designated sexual predators must personally verify their address every 90 days with the police agency having jurisdiction where they live. If an offender's appearance has changed, police may photograph the offender and submit the update photo to the Registry.

It's imperative that we stay informed about potential threats in our communities. Level 3 sexual predators are the most deviant of all sex offenders (not to say level 1 or 2 is good). If you are a parent, please be diligent in knowing who is around your children, especially in your neighborhood. Knowledge is power and staying aware and vigilant is so important to the safety of our communities. With level 3 sexual predators being considered the worst of the worst, you should be aware of who might be living next door.

Registered sex offenders are assigned a risk by judge after a court hearing: Level 1 (low risk of re-offense); Level 2 (medium risk of re-offense), and Level 3 (high risk of re-offense).

These are not all of the level 3 sex offenders in Erie County, just the 22 we are highlighting at this time. Also, be aware that not all offenders are listed on the New York Division of Criminal Justice Services website,

Please note that because of a lawsuit filed by The Legal Aid Society on behalf of some sex offenders, not all Level 2 and 3 offenders can be listed on this site at this time. However, even though an offender may not be listed on this site, information about the offender is available through DCJS's 800 # at 800-262-3257.
