WNY School District Possibly Losing Football Program
It may not seem like it but operating a school football program is indeed a big task. Not only is the cost high, but the participation has to be kept at a specific number in order to operate correctly.
According to WGRZ, after finishing the 2015 season with only 14 players on its roster, the Fredonia Hillbillies simply cannot continue operating a varsity football program on its own. So the school district now has two options: either join with Westfield/Brocton as a part of a three-way merger, or eliminate the football program altogether.
