Today in Black History — A Salute to Bernard Harris [VIDEO]

On this day in 1995, Bernard Harris became the first black astronaut to take a spacewalk and dedicated it to the achievement of all African Americans.

Of course this is quite an accomplishment for anyone that chooses to explore the universe in this fashion and really says a lot about the person and then to have the graciousness to share their experience with the world goes beyond words.
