Tiger Woods won’t be playing in the U.S. Open next week at the Congressional Country Club in Bethesda, MD.

Bvonsports.com is reporting that Woods is trying to rehab his left knee and Achilles’ tendon that were injured during a shot in the Master’s.  Tiger says his injuries are not improving at a rate he had hoped for.

Woods says he is disappointed that he will be sideline for the U.S. Open.  But it’s time he listened to his doctors and focused on the future.  He was hopeful that he would play, but didn’t want to risk further damage to his left knee.
