Pastor Marvin Sapp, singer, songwriter recorded with the group Commissioned before beginning a solo career. He is the founder and senior pastor of Lighthouse Full Life Center Church. Pastor Sapp began singing when he was 4 years old.

Pastor Sapp established himself as a contemporary gospel solo artist and has recorded seven albums. His first crossover fame was the release of "Never Would Have Made It" from the album Thirsty in 2007.

Pastor Sapp recorded “Here I Am,” on October, 2009 at Resurrection Life Church and released it on March 16, 2010. He became the all-time highest charting gospel artist in Billboard's 54 year history. "The Best in Me," from the “Here I Am,” CD, peaked at #14 on the Billboard Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart, #1 on Billboard's Gospel Songs chart and reached #20 and on Billboard's Urban AC chart. During the 2011 Annual Stellar Gospel Music Awards, Marvin Sapp topped the list of winners in four categories.
