This is a very bizarre and developing story out of Jonesboro, Arkansas. Chavis Carter was riding in a vehicle that was stopped by Jonesboro police on Saturday night, according to KAIT television. Officers on the scene reported finding marijuana, and discovered that there was a warrant out on Carter from Mississippi; at this point he was handcuffed behind his back and placed in a patrol car.

Minutes later, cops reported hearing an unusual noise, look around and found the young man shot in the head.

The gunshot wound was to Chavis’ right temple and his mother disagrees with what police said happened because her son was not suicidal and he was left-handed.

Now an investigation has been launched and the two officers are on administrative leave.
