Lil Reese is in big trouble once again. The Def Jam signee has been officially charged with auto theft.

CBS Chicago reports that, per court records, Reese “presented false documentation to obtain” a 2006 BMW 750 Li on April 13.

Neither police nor prosecutors gave further details on the case over the weekend. The rapper was set free on $5,000 bail, according to CBS.

As part of Chief Keef's GBE family, Reese has steadily been making a name for himself in his hometown of Chicago and beyond. He signed to Island Def Jam last year and a forthcoming debut LP is expected.

Despite his rising music stardom, Reese has experienced a string of legal troubles. Earlier this year, he was arrested on a warrant stemming from 2012 charges of mob action, battery and trespassing, while found sleeping in his car.

He also came under fire when a video went viral showing the young rapper assaulting a female friend. Reese apologized for that incident.
