The shocking news of Bill Cosby’s 2005 confession that he drugged women so he can have sex with them has once supportive fans sounding off with their thoughts on social media. R&B singer Jill Scott, who was one of a few celebrities publicly defending the veteran comedian, went on Twitter to express her disappointment with him.

In a barrage of tweets on Monday (July 6), Scott said she was “disgusted” by Mr. Cosby.

"About Bill Cosby. Sadly his own testimony offers PROOF of terrible deeds, which is ALL I have ever required to believe the accusations," she wrote. "I stood by a man I respected and loved. I was wrong. It HURTS!!!"

According to the Associated Press, in 2005, the 77-year-old comedian testified that he purchased Quaaludes to drug women he wanted to have sex with. Cosby's attorneys tried to stop the documents from being released to the media but AP had gone to court to force the release of the testimony from the deposition in a sexual abuse lawsuit filed by former Temple University employee Andrea Constand.

Cosby settled that lawsuit in 2006, and the terms of the settlement were confidentially sealed until now.

The Cosby Show star is currently being accused of sexual assault by over 20 women, including allegations that he drugged and raped women as far back as four decades ago.

Scott has previously defended Cosby against critics because she felt they were attempting to "destroy his legacy." Now the 43-year-old Philly native is no longer standing by him.

"Reasoning with the angry & unreasonable? No. I'm not sorry for standing by my mentor. I'm sorry the accusations Rtrue," she wrote.
