After dropping a slew of records and being in a number of well-received films, it's easy to forget that Jamie Foxx is a comedian. Not only that, but the former In Living Color star is willing to tow the very difficult line of funny and offensive.

On Sunday night (March 29), at the iHeartRadio Music Awards, the Ray actor poked fun at reality star Bruce Jenner, who is rumored to be getting a sex change.

"We've got some groundbreaking performances here tonight," Foxx said at the awards show. "Bruce Jenner will be here doing some musical performances. He's doing a his-and-her duet all by himself." And to top it off, Jenner's daughter Kylie was in the audience when the remarks were made.

Some people immediately blasted Foxx for the joke and found it transphobic.

"Boo! Shame on you #iHeartAwards for allowing @iamjamiefoxx to be transphobic on national television. Those #BruceJenner jokes were wrong," wrote gossip columnist Perez Hilton.

Twitter user MJStarLover was watching the show and felt Foxx's joke was also inappropriate. "Jamie Foxx is wrong for that Bruce Jenner shade," she wrote.

The "Blame It" singer also joked about the copyright infringement lawsuit that Pharrell and Robin Thicke just faced. "Marvin Gaye had the number one song, featuring Pharrell and Robin Thicke," said Foxx. "Marvin Gaye just made $7.4 million just last week. He's making beats in heaven. It's crazy. He might be dead, but he ain't dead broke."

Foxx, who performed his new song, "You Changed Me," at the awards ceremony, hasn't addressed the controversy surrounding his statements yet. However, Jenner's son Burt is speaking out against the entertainer. TMZ caught up with him to ask his thoughts on the insensitive jokes about his dad. "He made [jokes] in front of my sister. He got a little lucky, because you can make jokes about my dad all you want, but you can’t make jokes in front of my sister and make my sister feel awkward. I would’ve charged the stage," Burt stated.

Looks like Jamie Foxx should think twice about his next onstage jokes.
