Is It Acceptable to Wear a Bonnet in Public?

I don't want to offend anyone with this so please don't take it personal. We see this particular object in grocery stores, malls, bus stops, and office buildings across America.

I'm talking about a  "bonnet". If you don't know what a bonnet is It's a satin covering for you hair that helps retain moisture and keep your hair in place while you sleep at night. However in 2016, we see them outside on head's everywhere.

Tonight's topic question: Is it acceptable to wear bonnets in public?
