Halle Berry Wants Congress to Keep People From Photographing Her Kid

When it comes to her 5-year-old daughter, Halle Berry can be pretty protective. After a failing bid last year to move to France with her child Nahla (where laws about photographing the children of celebrities are much more stringent), Berry now plans to push US lawmakers to fix the problem for her.

A source tells the NY Post that ‘The Call’ star has enlisted the help of star couple Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner to join the cause, which would prohibit photogs from taking pictures of young celebrity offspring — because Ben, as you may recall, has already made it abundantly clear where he stands on this.

In a recent interview with ‘Extra,’ Berry talked about the paparazzi attention, saying, “It’s weird for [Nahla] and she’s at that age where she’s questioning why, and she wants to be left alone. It’s bothersome and scary for her.”

We know at least one other person who’s likely to be in Halle’s corner: Steven Tyler. The 65-year-old Aerosmith crooner recently lobbied for a Hawaiian law that would’ve protected celebs of all ages from intrusive photos, only to have the bill stall in the state’s House of Representatives.

As for Berry, it’s unclear how far the Oscar-winner will take this fight, but if she’s really that scared, she could always take a page from the Michael Jackson playbook and just force her child to wear bandannas, veils and face masks. (Maybe that’s why, despite all odds, MJ’s kids actually turned out okay.)
