Being compared to Lil Wayne would be an honor for many of hip-hop's new generation of rappers but according to Fat Joe, Lil Uzi Vert is just a bad version of Weezy.

Appearing on Ebro Darden's Beats 1 radio show, the "All the Way Up" rapper said many of today's new artists are taking Lil Wayne's flow. "You hear all these little kids now who doing hip-hop music," Joe said. "Those is all Lil Wayne’s flows. Every last one."

Joey Crack's comments led to Ebro calling Uzi's "XO Tour Llif3" a Lil Wayne song. But, while Fat Joe praised Uzi's music, he said the Philadelphia rapper isn't as good as Wayne. "Lil Uzi is a bad version of Lil Wayne. It's not as a good as Lil Wayne. Just to be honest with you," Joe shared. "And he's good, and I like his songs."

Joe continued to give props to Uzi, but also said the rapper's skill can't match up to Weezy's talents. "Lil Uzi I got nothing but love for you," Joe continued. "He ain’t as good as Lil Wayne. That’s impossible. Lil Wayne was considered, he’s one of the greatest. He’s a G.O.A.T. Not only that he was lyrically considered the best rapper on earth for a couple of years. Lil Uzi Vert ain’t going to get that."

Ebro went on to tell Fat Joe that his comments will be seen as controversial but Joe didn't see a problem with what he said. "I didn’t shit on Lil Uzi," he added. "I can’t say how much I appreciate him. I’m just saying Lil Wayne inspired generations of music."

Ultimately, Joe said he's aware his comments will rub some Lil Uzi Vert fans the wrong way, but it will also lead them to go check out some of Weezy's past work, including Tha Carter III.
