Drake's new album 'Scorpion' dropped last night, and there was a very special throwback air-check in the outro of his song "After Dark". Drake included a full audio clip from the WBLK "Quiet Storm" program hosted by Al Woods back in the day, which you can hear at the button below.

While most know that Drake is from Toronto, not many know the history of WHY he might choose to include our Buffalo-based station on his album. Drake has since confirmed why on his Instagram story:

WBLK's brand manager wrote a letter to Drake thanking him for the inclusion, and Drake included the letter in his Instagram story with the caption "This station raised us."

WBLK is the oldest urban FM radio station in the United States, and is currently in its 53rd year on the air. WBLK has a heavy listener base in Southern Ontario, and gained popularity as the only urban-formatted radio station in Toronto during the 80s and 90s, during which time it looks like Drake was a listener.

One of the coolest shout-outs on any album ever gets even cooler!
