Chief Keef’s Cousin Big Glo Killed In Chicago

Big Glo, a rapper who is the cousin of Chief Keef, was shot and killed in Chicago Wednesday night (April 9).

The 33-year-old was shot multiple times (10 according to the Chicago Tribune), at around 9:45PM in South Elizabeth, Illinois. He was found by police lying on the sidewalk with two dozen shell casings scared around the area. Hess was then taken to Stroger Hospital and was pronounced dead at 10:29PM, the Cook County Medical Examiner’s office reports.

Another man is currently in serious condition from a gunshot wound to the abdomen area. According to his manager and cousin, Renaldo Reuben Hess, the rhymer has no relation to the other wounded individual.

Also known as Blood Money, Big Glo collaborated with Chief Keef on various tracks including ‘F— Rehab,’ which Keef released in March. Big Glo’s track, ‘Thought He Was,’ which also features Keef, has almost 2 million views on YouTube. He also dropped three mixtapes: ‘Drug Wars,’ ‘Choppa Talk’ and ‘Gangland.’

Big Glo was just in Los Angeles two weeks ago and recorded 27 songs. He reportedly signed with Interscope Records. However, coming back to his Englewood home in Chicago was a risk.

“It’s a lot of crime and violence in Chicago, these rap guys are being targeted, so you know, just trying to get him outside the neighborhood. He’s from the streets,” his manager told the Chicago Tribune.

The police have made no arrests in the murder of Big Glo at this time. Chief Keef has also not commented on the death of his cousin as of yet.
