Today’s one hit wonder at one the “Cha Cha Slide” by Mr. C a.k.a. Casper Slide was released in 1996 and instantly became a new dance craze. Not only was it infectious on night club dance floors, but also at skating rinks, house parties, and weddings.

It also became an exercise tool that was used with students from kindergarten to college.

A bit of history on the originator of the song; he is a native of Chicago that started out as a club DJ and somehow came up with this unique concept for this song/dance craze.
