Cardi B gives back. Last night (Oct. 18), the Bronx rapper took a trip to a Brooklyn public housing complex and gifted hundreds of winter coats to residents. NBC's local New York City affiliate reported the news earlier today.

According to the outlet, Bardi made the visit to the Marlboro Houses after a local designer organized the coat giveaway with some of her friends. When they got the news, residents waited hours for Cardi to appear. Unfortunately, due to what the "I Like It" rapper says was a photoshoot, she arrived hours late.

Still, when Cardi did show up, she was mobbed by fans. "I think she's unbelievable, and I think it's great she's doing this for the less fortunate," said Dana Spear, who spoke to NBC while on the scene of the giveaway.

For her part, Cardi looked like she was her typical, energetic self at the coat giveaway. Engaging an excited crowd, Bardi shouted, "I said, 'I'm pulling up, what's up, I'm in here, let's go!'"

Cardi's coat giveaway took place just a day after she appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live! During her stop on the late night talk show, she explained why she's kept her daughter Kulture out of the public's eye.
