A Louisiana judge ordered Corey "C-Murder" Miller to pay $1.1 million to the parents of the 16-year-old that he shot and killed 14 years ago.

In 2013, in a civil case, Judge Glenn Ansardi of the 24th Judicial District Court, found the rapper liable for the murder of Steve Thomas outside of a nightclub in 2002. On Wednesday (May 10), Ansardi ordered Miller to pay $500,000 to each of the teen's parents, plus $150,000 for the victims suffering and another $4,492 for the cost of the funeral.

"For my clients, it's been a 15-year odyssey," said the Thomas family attorney Trey Mustian. "They've been through a great deal, and it means a lot to us to bring some closure to this."

Miller is currently serving a life sentence in Louisiana State Prison in Angola. He still maintains his innocence.
