Benny the Butcher, Conway the Machine and Westside Gunn, also known as those 'Buffalo Kids,' are featured on the first single from DMX's new album. DMX's posthumous album 'Exodus 1:7,' will be X's first in nine years. Exodus 1:7 will be released this Friday, May 28, 2021. The single featuring Griselda Records' founding fathers, 'Hood Blues,' was produced by Producer: Swizz Beatz and Avenue Beatz, Swizzy's protege.

DMX to Release FInal Album Exodus 1:7 on May 28

According to High Snobiety, the album features additional guest appearances from Lil Wayne, Alicia Keys, Snoop Dogg, U2's Bono, and Moneybagg Yo. It features 13 tracks. Swizz spoke to Hot 97 about the importance of X's final album,

"People should hear what he wanted them to hear. Nothing should stop the creativity from flowing because it’s actually what he had fun doing. This was his gift to his audience and his family and his fans. It’s only right that people should get the gift that he left them."

Earl Simmons aka DMX died at the age of 50 on April 9, 2021. He had been declared brain dead and was on life support for about a week. According to XXL, he had suffered a heart attack on April 2, 2021, as the result of an overdose.
