Woman Charged With 101 Counts For Weapons, Drugs, And Animal Abuse
A Grand Jury in Chemung County handed down indictments for an Erin woman for more than 100 charges.
You don’t often hear about women being arrested on so many charges, but today the Grand Jury in Chemung County indicted Kiraly Zepp of Erin on 101 counts including weapons charges, drug charges, and abusing animals.
Detailed information is limited at this time, but we do know that she is looking at some serious jail time if she is found guilty of all of these charges.
The indictment says that Ms. Zepp failed to provide proper food and drink to 32 animals including several puppies. She is also accused of failing to supply “sufficient good or wholesome air or shelter”. She is also accused of 32 counts of overdriving, torturing, and injuring the animals. The animal abuse is alleged to have occurred between January and March 2021. I’ve always found it difficult to understand why someone would have so many animals if they were unable to provide for them and treat them so poorly.
Ms. Zepp was also indicted on 36 counts of criminal possession of weapons. Her indictment says that she was found in possession of firearms on March 18, 2021. She was caught with 10 or more weapons including a .45 caliber pistol, a Glock 21, a Taurus .357 magnum revolver, a Taurus 9 mm semi-automatic pistol, a Ruger .357 caliber revolver and a 9 mm semi-automatic pistol.
In addition to the animal abuse charges and the weapons charges, Ms. was charged and indicted for possession of 95 pounds of marijuana. It will be interesting to see if Ms Zepp is found guilty of these charges and if so how much time she will see behind bars.
