"After retiring from his professional basketball career, Willie Hutch Jones, along with his friends Leroi Johnson and the late Bernard Mitchell, recognized a growing need in their childhood community. They saw that many young people lacked the opportunities and resources necessary to reach their full potential. Driven by a shared passion to make a difference, they founded the Willie Hutch Jones Educational and Sports Program (WHJESP), committed to inspiring and empowering under-served youth through sports and educational opportunities."
