Western New York Winter Parking Bans Start On November 1st

Parking bans across several Western New York towns and villages are set to return on Tuesday, November 1st.

The annual ban on parking on streets in certain towns and villages returns as we head into the snow season here in Western New York.

Most towns have a ban to allow for easy access to the streets for snow plows during the winter months. Most parking bans start on November 1st and last until April 1st.

The Town of Tonawanda announced that they will delay their overnight parking ban until November 15th. Their ban prohibits any parking on the streets between 2 am and 6 am.

Cheektowaga also announced that they will delay their overnight parking ban as well. They will push back their ban until there is a better chance of snow. The town will issue warnings until there is snow on the ground.

The village of Williamsville's overnight ban will go into effect on Tuesday, November 1st. You cannot park on any village streets between 1 am and 7 am.

The city of Buffalo's overnight parking ban starts on November 15th and goes until April 1st. During that time frame, you cannot park on a bus route between 1:30 am and  7:00 am.

Orchard Park, Hamburg, Amherst, Clarence's overnight ban will begin on November 1st while West Seneca and Kenmore's parking ban starts on November 15th.
